Fresh, funky & so very cool. Azura Marlin Beach to rise like a phoenix from the ashes as it reopens this July

The long awaited reopening of Azura Marlin Beach on Benguerra Island is happening in July this year. Fresh, funky and cool, Azura Marlin Beach is the newest addition to the Azura Collection of Mozambique beach lodges.

The old Marlin lodge was a firm favourite of ours and we were very sad when the old hotel was closed down 8 years ago after a fire so we are very excited it’s opening again.

There are 10 spacious villas set along the white sandy beach, they are modern and airy with 6 double villas, 3 larger family villas with space for 2 children’s beds and a Villa Vista which has 2 bedrooms, a sitting area and a private plunge pool.

With such a tranquil setting you may not want to move from the beautiful beach or relaxing pool area but there are plenty of activities to keep the more active busy with snorkelling and diving on the Two-Mile Reef, deep sea fishing, picnics on remote sandbars, visits to the local village and community projects and a must is a sunset sail on a traditional wooden Dhow.

Seafood is a speciality but all diets are catered for with fresh local ingredients and there is nowhere better to watch the sunset with cocktail in hand.

There are great opening prices for 2020 up until 15th December starting from US$595 pppn and half board rates are available too.
