The official language is Arabic, and French is the second language. English, German and Italian are mainly spoken in the tourist resorts.
Tunisia Dinar (TND). There are ATMs in most towns and every tourist resort. Credit cards (mainly MasterCard and Visa) are accepted in a few places in major resorts and towns. American Express and Diners Club are accepted in some tourist areas.

UK, Australian, Canadian, USA and EU passport holders do not require visas for stays up to three months. Your passport should be valid for up to six months after your return date and you should ensure your passport is stamped when you enter the country.

Tunisia is considered a generally healthy place to travel, but some inoculations are required. You should seek up-to-date advice regarding inoculations and health precautions from your GP or travel clinic as soon as your departure date is known.
