Seychelles Rupee. However, tourists must pay hotel bills and at Duty Free in the airport in foreign currency (cash, traveller's cheques or credit or debit cards). American Express, MasterCard and Visa are widely accepted, and there are ATMs in Mahé and Praslin.

Health requirements

The Seychelles is considered a generally healthy place to travel and is non-malarial. You should seek up-to-date advice regarding inoculations and health precautions from your GP or travel clinic as soon as your departure date is known.
