Lake of Stars Festival, Malawi

Lake of Stars Music Festival is a fantastic annual music and cultural festival held on the shores of Lake Malawi. It features a diverse line-up of local, African and European artists and with its stunning setting, incredibly friendly locals and dizzying range of music, it offers a totally different way to experience this beautiful part of the world. Previous years have included British DJs such as Groove Armada’s Andy Cato, Radio 1’s Annie Mac and Basement Jaxx’s Felix B in tandem with performances from Malawian, regional and other African artists such as Wambali, the Black Missionaries and The Swahili Hiphop Foundation. As well as a wonderful opportunity to enjoy live music in an exotic and beautiful location, you will be directly contributing to the country’s economy as the festival is run on a largely voluntary basis.
