Yoga-fari at Sasaab Lodge: Yoga Holiday in Kenya
Gorgeous setting in Kenya’s Samburu wilderness – how can you fail to feel completely unwound and fully restored?
Sasaab Lodge, a luxury lodge in Kenya’s beautiful Samburu region, hosts a unique annual yoga holiday. This invigorating and spiritual escape combines twice daily yoga classes with safari and a world-class luxury spa in the wilderness. Guests begin each day with a dynamic Quantum yoga class overlooking the river where elephants often come to drink, and end the day with a restorative session at sunset.
Sasaab’s spacious, airy design and highly acclaimed SpaSaab (using Liz Earle products), combined with its stunning location on the Ewaso Nyiro River and excellent game viewing, is a special backdrop for the retreat. Between yoga sessions, guests will have the opportunity to go on guided walks, night and day game drives, camel rides and Samburu cultural experiences. Game in the area includes lion, leopard, elephant, Reticulated giraffe, Grevy zebra, gerenuk and Somali Ostrich. All activities are optional and if guests prefer they can spend their time relaxing in the lodge’s luxuriously large bedrooms each with their own plunge pool overlooking the riverbed below. Light, nutritious meals with both an African and global influence will compliment the restorative essence of the retreat.
The holiday includes 4 or 6 nights’ full-board accommodation at Sasaab Lodge, house drinks, two yoga sessions a day, internal flights and transfers, conservation fees, a complimentary massage, guided walks, night and day game drives, camel rides, and Samburu cultural experiences. You can also add a night in Nairobi at the iconic Giraffe Manor. We can arrange a further safari or beach holiday around the yoga holiday.
